The Hawaii Defense Economy content is primarily based on contracts, grants, and assistance transactions reported in USA Spending where Place of Performance was listed as Hawaii. Steps have been taken to present the most relevant and accurate data on the types, levels of and impacts of defense contracts, based on the USA Spending data, however it is still limited in its completeness and quality. Work has been done to clean the data provided by USA Spending. Contractors and Grantee Recipients are revising and providing more accurate information on an ongoing basis.
